Since 2020, the Azores Bravos Trail® has captivated athletes from all over the world. With trails that reveal the magic of its natural woods and forests, the mysteries of dormant volcanoes and the grandeur of the Atlantic cliffs, this race is not just a physical challenge, but a celebration of the unique beauty of the Azores.

The journey begins in the vibrant city of Praia da Vitória, where the blue of the Atlantic meets the genuine hospitality of Terceira Island. The bay of Praia da Vitória is the ideal starting point for this adventure, offering inspiration and energy to athletes from the first steps. The streets of the city and its surroundings enchant with their mix of modernity and local traditions, marking the beginning of an unforgettable experience.

The route takes participants through stunning and challenging scenery, winding along trails that cross dense forests, green fields and unique volcanic formations, until reaching Angra do Heroísmo. This city, a UNESCO world heritage site and already the capital of Portugal, is a true historical and cultural treasure, offering athletes a magical moment as they cross its centuries-old streets. The historic center of Angra do Heroísmo, with its cobbled streets and imposing architecture, leads the Bravos to Relvão, where the finish line awaits them with incredible views of the Fort of São Sebastião, its bay and the islet of Cabras on its horizon.

In 2024, the Azores Bravos Trail® brought together hundreds of Brave, coming from near and far, to feel the adrenaline and experience the unique connection between man and nature. Both Praia da Vitória and Angra do Heroísmo have become iconic scenarios of overcoming, companionship and celebration.
