The Endurance journey begins majestically at the Facho Viewpoint, in Praia da Vitória. This starting point, with the bay and the Atlantic as a backdrop, already foreshadows the greatness that athletes will face throughout the 100K.

The first stage challenges the brave with an ascent to Serra do Cume, a vestige of one of the largest volcanoes in the archipelago. At the top, the effort is rewarded with a breathtaking view: the vast crater, with its basalt seals, transforms into a gigantic Patchwork Blanket, creating one of the most iconic and enchanting landscapes of the Azores.

The route follows the official trail of the 'Relheiras de São Brás', where the remains of the old carts in stone furrows lead the athletes through green pastures and culminate in the challenging Pico do Boi. The highest point reveals a breathtaking scenery before starting the technical descent to the parish of Agualva.

Crossing the woods of this charming town, the athletes immerse themselves in a unique connection with nature, on trails where the sound of the leaves underfoot and the fresh aroma of the vegetation accompany them to the meeting point with the 65K race.

And so, the first chapters of an epic journey take shape, with each kilometer challenging body and soul, while the beauty of Terceira Island inspires them to continue.
